When I see the graphics on NG with the volume I'm impressed. But When I hear the tune it sounds to compressed. It's close to very cool but instead of loud I get the impression of compressed.

+ It is not harsh.

OmegaT responds:

Appreciate the review man, I don't know why it would sound so compressed since as far as I know the only thing with compression (and very low) is the vocals.
I'll look into it before I upload it anywhere else though, maybe I messed up something somewhere. Thanks again!

Edit: found it I'm dumb af, fixed.

I really love that you leave the sound intact. The dynamics here are through roof.

I like the repetition as in dnb and the chord, also really cool glitch effects on the outro.

My wish is for better samples for the drums. I truly despite dropkick sound xD

lol
Thanks :)

Cool composition. A lot of variation and things going on. 1:20-1:40 reminds me of Pink Floyd type of compositions.

I think reducing 600hz and probably 250 hz on the pad chords and reverb will make the mix less muddy. The ride is very crisp on top of the mix though, that's cool.

PlywoodPyro responds:

Thanks so much for the advice!! I’ll try to improve the song some more as soon as I can get my laptop working again ^^

Love it, reminds me of my time with NI kontakt in school. Although I was pleased with just getting a guitar sounding like a guitar.

I love how it's that big sound from the kick playing with the bass in wide stereo like a room.

The composition is just cool as ever!

Codefreq responds:

Thank you, glad you like it! :) I’m also glad you noticed the roomy aspect of the song. The decision to attempt at making the mix sound as if it were being played live in a room was intentional.

I remember Fl studio 5. I'm pretty surprised that it runs on a modern computer, if youre using one. I listened shortly on some of your other work on Garageband and my oppinion is that the sound you get from using that software has more punch and I personally like that more.

Maybe you could do some clips in garageband, example a lead melody or drums etc and drag it in to Fl studio as a wav-file or whatever format you are using. That might add another dimension to the sound.

This is a really interesting composition and very creative, keep it up!

I must ask, why are you using Fl studio 5?

X-ManOfficial responds:

I explain. I use FL Studio 20, but the other day I had the idea to make a track in the style of Dimrain47, and he used FL Studio 5 in 2005. And in order to completely restore the picture, so to speak, I downloaded exactly the same version, found the presets and sounds that he used, applied a couple of techniques and got this. So I said, don't take it seriously. And so thank you for expressing your opinion. And I somehow didn't think about transferring .wav files. Thank you for the idea, perhaps in the future I will do so, but the problem is that in FL Studio it is much easier for me to adhere to the tonality and harmony I need, which is very difficult in GarageBand. Therefore, when I had the opportunity, I immediately switched to FL Studio 20. And it's much easier to work in FL Studio on a PC than in GarageBand on an iPad.

Haha this is decent. Good soundquality, and the composition is wtf and it makes me smile, nice job!

ADR3-N responds:

Thanks. :) My favorite part of making this was playing around with a kontakt instrument called The Wrench

Cool, I like it. A bit heavy on the sinusbass/sub though

Sinthology responds:

Yeah, it is lol

Really good.

TeraVex responds:

Thank you so much!!!

cool, nice stereo and clean sounds. That seems to be the case in many of your tracks though!
